Thanks so much for reading and responding. These are great points. One of the issues with taking good notes during a meeting (especially on a computer, on which you can essentiually transcribe a meeting) is that there's a real-time attention cost, I think. I wonder if a better approach is to take notes directly after the meeting. Maybe the stuff you remember is the stuff TO remember. Of course different fields require different levels of note taking and participant agreement.
